Hi! My name is Gustavo, I'm 26 years old and in June 2022 I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. My life changed dramatically when a mass started to grow in my testicle. I got it checked, never thinking it would be cancer. My body developed a type of tumor called "pure" embryonal carcinoma. This is an aggressive type of germ-cell tumor that frequently spreads to other parts of the body, evolving to the metastatic stage. I had 47 tumors in my lungs, my lymph nodes were about 8-10 centimeters in size, and they had spread to other vital organs. After having my testicles removed and going through very draining months of strong chemotherapy, which produced various health complications, I have finished the first part of the treatment, but am still not cured. There are still tumors and large lymph nodes that need to be removed. To maximize my chances of being cured, robotic surgery is needed next, to remove tumors that are glued to my aorta artery.

How the money will be used?

The surgery cost will be around 170k BRL (35k USD)

Right now, i've raised about 110k BRL (22k USD) amoung family and family friends

The costs of the treatment post surgery aren't really clear yet, once we have to operate first to than see whats the best post treatment (probably more chemoterapy.

The surgery is to be schedule in early june (a month and a half from now), during this time i'm doing weekly check-ups and exams to see how the tumors behave.
