Help Gustavo get Leukemia Life-Saving Treatment!

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters, we need your help! My beloved Gustavo is battling Leukemia, and we are determined to give him the best chance at a healthy life. We're reaching out to our community to humbly request your support in his journey to fight this devastating disease.

Gustavo was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Although ALL is a common form of pediatric cancer, we learned that it is rarely caught in adults in time to receive treatment. 

Because of this, Gustavo was immediately admitted for severely intense daily 24hr sessions of chemotherapy.

Since March, he has received 4 treatments of chemotherapy, each lasting an average of 10 days.

After two stays at the ICU, Gustavo is currently working on building the strength to walk on his own and prepare for a transplant. 

His diagnosis came as a shock to all of us, especially since there were no prior symptoms or anything that could alert us to his condition, but we are committed to fighting this with every ounce of strength we have. He is a strong, resilient, generous, selfless and brave soul who deserves a chance to overcome this hurdle.

Gustavo is a Veteran who served as a Combat Medic, and has always placed the safety and well-being of others above his own. 

Unfortunately, before his diagnosis, we had lost our insurance coverage, which means that all the costs related to treatment he has been receiving since being admitted to the hospital back in March, are considered out of pocket.

Since his diagnosis, we have tried all avenues of state and federal health and medical programs assistance, with all benefits being denied.

Our medical team has recommended a comprehensive treatment plan to give Gustavo the best chance of recovery. Unfortunately, the costs associated with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) treatment are significant, and we are struggling to meet these expenses alone. The estimated expenses include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hospitalization, medication, follow-up care, and more important, transplant surgery which would have to be performed in San Antonio, TX, which amount to around $450,000.
