Help the Russakis Family Loss After Fire

My name is Thor Erickson and I live in Los Angeles. I am an old friend of Gwen, Barry, Oskar, and Simon Russakis. I'm trying to raise money to help the Russakis family with the loss of their family home that was lost to the Eaton fire, and hopefully make this terrible time a little bit easier for them to endure.

When the Eaton fire hit Altadena, Gwen and Barry moved their family to safety when the evacuation order was issued, but when we heard their house was in danger of burning down, Barry and I rushed back in the middle of the night to try to do everything we could to save it. Sadly, it was a complete loss. The house and everything around it burned and there's nothing but ashes left.

Gwen and Barry took me into their Altadena home more than 20 years ago. They welcomed me into their family, gave me a place to stay when I needed it, and put some money into my pockets by helping them in their humble home during a time in my life when I didn't have any other options. Now, I'd like to try to do the same for them.

I know the Russakis are just one of thousands of families going through this loss right now, and a lot of people are in need, but I can't sit idly by and not try to help the family who helped me so many years ago. I would urge anyone reading this to think of a time when someone did the same for them and reach out to donate to help them with the loss of the house they shared so many memories and so much love in.

Gwen and Barry do not have a home to go back to, and all proceeds will go directly to them to help cover their current cost of living and future costs not covered by government and private entities while they figure out how to move forward and navigate the difficult and complicated steps ahead. Everything they had is gone, and anything helps.
