Help Gwynn Campbell to Save the Five Towns Community Center

Donation protected
Hi, My name is Gwynn Campbell. I am the Board President of the Five Towns Community Center located in Lawrence, NY, at the borderline of Inwood, L.I. I am a graduate of Lawrence High School in 1982. I am a long-standing resident with deep ties to this community. We are being displaced as our current 50-year lease expired and no opportunity to renegotiate or ample time to relocate.

We are a non-profit organization - a community center that has existed for 117 years. We have a Head Start program with 68 children, Youth programs Summer Camp and Afterschool, an OASIS program, Soccer and Basket programs, Aid to the Foreign Born, and the Five Towns Community food pantry that feeds over 2k families.

We have helped the community by allowing usage of community space for repasses when a loved one passes away, baby showers and youth gatherings, dancing, cheerleading, and other events.

Those who are familiar with the Five Towns are comprised of Lawrence, Inwood, Cedarhurst, Hewlett, and Woodmere. If you grew up in any of these towns, you know of our mission. We are reaching out for your immediate support. Our community is being pressured to survive with the bare minimum. The community has changed where there are health disparities, economic distress, and a lack of a clean and healthy environment to live in. Our most prized assets, our children, seniors, all who are in need should have a place of comfort and services.

Your support is greatly appreciated.
