Help Hailei Bring Health to Panama's Rural Areas
Donation protected
Aloha! My name is Hailei Kapiolani Manibog Balicoco. I am a second-year biohealth sciences major focusing on the pre-physician assistant pathway at Oregon State University. This December, I will embark on a week-long journey to Panama as a student volunteer with the Global Medical Brigade.
The Global Medical Brigade is an international movement of students and medical professionals working with local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. Before traveling, volunteers must donate $2,700 to the organization. A portion of the proceeds goes to the community we are serving, and travel costs are also included.
I am passionate about my healthcare career and strongly believe in global health equity, equality, and sustainability. We are privileged to have many health securities within our nation, and with this trip, we as an organization are providing similar opportunities for better health for those who live in rural communities where access to health resources may be limited. We are not only there to make an impact for one week, but we want to make an impact that will serve the community for many years.
Thank you for your time and support. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Mahalo!
