Help Hala Kahiki-Fire Recovery
Donation protected
On December 30, 2021, Hala Kahiki Volleyball Club lost ALL their player uniforms, coaches apparel and team equipment when Sisters, Lena Quilantang and Liz Huyg's, family home in Superior was lost in the recent Marshall Fire. Liz, her two sons and Lena are 12 year residence of Superior who started Hala Kahiki Volleyball in 2019. Sadly, club competition was about to start with the first tournament scheduled for Jan 23, 2022. Uniforms and equipment were scheduled to be distributed when the fire broke out but everything was destroyed. Lena and Liz have been giving back within youth sports for decades across Colorado, California and Hawaii. This loss has been devastating for their family. It not only has a profound impact on them personally but the 50+ youth athletes and coaches (many also live in the Superior and Louisville area) who compete in club volleyball through Hala Kahiki VBC. Our goal is to raise enough funds to replace all uniforms, coaches apparel and team equipment lost in the Marshall Fire as soon as possible. Your support and donation would be greatly appreciated!
In an effort to help support Lena, Liz, their family along with all the Hala Kahiki athletes and coaches; Flatirons VBC has offered to run this campaign on their behalf. Please consider donating so Lena and Liz can focus on their personal recovery and the day too day responsibilities that come along with running a youth volleyball club. Alice Crabtree-Haack, (Go Fund Me Organizer) represents Flatirons's Volleyball Club. All proceeds will go directly to Hala Kahiki Volleyball Club and their recover effort.
