Help Half Gringa make her next record

Hello! It is I, Isabel Olive aka Chicago-based musician Half Gringa. I have been working on new songs for the last few years and am again itching to make a record. I have the opportunity to work with Brian Deck at Narwhal Studios in Chicago. He's worked with a fantastic roster of artists I admire, including Iron & Wine, Califone, and Modest Mouse. This is an absolute dream and would be a huge level-up for me and my work.

Some of the musicians who will be featured on this record are guitarist Sam Cantor, drummer Quin Kirchner, violinist Lucy Little, bassist Victoria Park, keyboardist Brenden Cabrera, and trumpeter Ivan Pyzow - their work is incredible, and I am so excited to get their brains on these arrangements.

Here's where I need your help: Paying for studio time and engineer/musician fees is costly, and I can't rely on my day job income and show fees alone to cover production costs. I am applying for grants and think that a combination of those and crowdfunding will get me the budget I need. If I exceed the $10,000 goal, the additional funds will be a backup reserve in case grants do not pan out or if additional studio time is needed.

I cannot stress this enough - any amount helps! And if you are not in a position to contribute, please share this. It helps immensely to get this in front of as many eyes as possible. Please help me to pay these lovely musicians and collaborators what they are worth!
