Help Hammonds play at London

After a gap of 10 years the Hammonds Band are delighted to be returning to the stage of the Royal Albert Hall in London after qualifying as runners up at the Yorkshire Regional Championships 2017. In the past this was a regular trip for the band (then sponsored by the Yorkshire Building Society).
Since loosing sponsorship over 10 years ago the band dropped down to the first section before a handful of committed players re-built the band, moving back to the championship section, securing our place there and now successfully qualifying to perform back at the Royal Albert Hall this October.
As a non-sponsored band trying to find the money to fund this trip is now one of our primary concerns. Our usual income from concert performances keeps the band going but the additional £5,000 needed to cover the cost of travel, accommodation and a rehearsal space in London is a huge extra expense that the band needs to fund.
Any money donated through this page will go towards the costs of the band taking part in this contest. As a group we are immensely proud of what we have achieved at the Yorkshire Area Championships. Qualifying for the National Finals has been a major goal for the members of the band for a long-time now.
You can be assured that we will be for ever grateful for any donation that you can make. Your donation will go towards allowing the band to have the best possible chance of success when we head off to London on the 13th October to compete against some of the best bands in the country at one of the most famous concert halls in the world.
