Help Me Build a New Beginning

Hi, my name is Hamoodi, and I’m reaching out to my friends and community during a time of transition and challenge.

For the past few months, I’ve been living in a hostel with 16 other people, working two jobs to save up for an apartment of my own. The financial strain is tough, but the desire for stability and a space where I can feel safe and in control of my surroundings has driven me to keep pushing forward.

What many of you may not know is that in the past, I survived an abusive relationship that left deep emotional and financial scars. Escaping that situation was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. It took everything I had to rebuild my life from scratch, and even now, there are days when the weight of that experience feels overwhelming. But I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m committed to moving toward a healthier, brighter future.

That’s why getting my own apartment is more than just finding a new place to live. It’s about reclaiming my sense of self, finding peace, and creating a home where I can truly heal and grow. Unfortunately, with the costs of moving, rent deposits, and essentials like furniture and utilities, the financial strain is more than I can manage on my own right now.

I’m starting this fundraiser to ask for your help in covering the basic necessities to make this move possible. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help me take the next step toward building the life I deserve—free from the past, full of hope for the future.
