Help Hamza Rebuild: A Journey Toward Stability and a Sustain

Hello, my name is Hamza, and I’m reaching out today because, after years of hard work and resilience, I’ve reached a point where I need help to keep moving forward.

My Journey So Far:

Growing up in Jordan as a child of Palestinian refugees, I always dreamed of a meaningful life. I studied mechanical engineering, built a solid career, and had what many would call a “good job.” But I felt trapped—limited by cultural expectations and unable to be my true self. I wanted more than a paycheck; I wanted personal and professional fulfillment.

Looking outward, I set my sights on Germany—representing freedom, opportunity, and a chance to explore my full potential. Balancing demanding work with intensive German courses was exhausting, but in 2022, I got the opportunity to visit Germany for a two-month career exchange with the Goethe-Institut. For the first time, I felt a true sense of belonging, solidifying my determination to make Germany my home.

Finding and Losing My Dream Job:

In 2024, after countless applications and sleepless nights, I landed my dream job as a project manager at a top automotive company in Germany. It felt like a breakthrough—a reward for years of hard work. I was growing, learning, and seeing my dreams come to life.

Then, unexpectedly, the company faced financial struggles, and I was let go. As a new hire on probation, I was among the first to go. It was devastating, but I also felt a strange relief. Leaving meant I wasn’t working for someone whose values didn’t align with mine, and I resolved to keep moving forward.

But it’s been harder this time. Without a steady job, I’ve had to leave my apartment and rely on friends for temporary housing. Every step feels like a struggle, but I’m still holding onto hope. My mental health has suffered, and I’ve had to stop therapy because I can’t afford it right now, but I continue fighting for my dream.
