Hello! My name is Hamza Sharaf, and as of a few months ago, my life has completely changed. In November of 2024, I noticed my vision slowly disappearing and went to see an ophthalmologist to see if it happened to be astigmatism, which runs in my family. Unfortunately, she was unable to find anything, so I was sent to a neurologist. After a series of tests, I was diagnosed with a Pituitary Macro-adenoma tumor the size of a golf ball in my head. This same tumor apparently was also the cause of my recurring headaches for the past several years, so it was a relief to hear it was a curable condition; however, it would be taxing. I was sent to see a neuro-surgeon, Dr. David S. Baskin, at Houston Methodist Medical Center. Weeks of testing later, I had my surgery on Feb. 14. I was so scared, and when I woke up post-op, I was in so much pain. Needles, tubes, everything was coming out of me, and I was so weak and helpless. Thankfully, over these past couple of days, I've been attended by the best medical staff who worked with me hand and foot to see that I recover. I am set to be discharged on Feb. 18, but I will be extremely limited and unable to work. I ask that anyone who sees this please help me with my medical bills. The cost of everything is 6k+, but every dime helps. Thank you!
