Help Hanna Mears Beat Cancer

Hanna was in a serious car accident on Friday March 26. Her vehicle was totaled after rolling several times after being hit by another driver who failed to yield to a stop sign. While in the ER she found out there is a mass in her chest cavity and was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. To fight this cancer, Hanna will need six cycles and 12 rounds of intense chemotherapy starting almost immediately.  Due to the chemotherapy, Hanna’s chances of fertility are reduced. Hanna is working with a fertility clinic to preserve her eggs before the chemotherapy begins, a costly endeavor. To fight this disease Hanna may need to be off work for at least the next six months and at the same time is having to make huge decisions regarding her ability to have children.  


Hanna is facing many traumatic changes to her life, many of them financial. Hanna is a beloved educator, she gives her all to the children and families at her school. Hanna has a special ability to connect with and understand the children she teaches, her skill in the classroom helps shape these children into becoming amazing humans.
