Hi everyone! I’m Hannah and that’s my spouse Bryan and our pup Suki with me!
2022 has been a year of loss for our family. In January my health began to decline gradually but rapidly and in March, my body hit its breaking point. I had become so weak I could no longer stand for more than a few minutes at a time or even drive. Due to the severe limitations of my mobility, I had to quit my job in order to rest and see if I could bounce back. Unfortunately, rest didn’t help. My symptoms and pain worsened to the point of me being home bound and unable to do even the simplest of tasks. I finally went to a doctor and after months of tests and lab work, we discovered abnormalities on my brain. I’m still in the process of finding a diagnosis, but we are almost certain I am suffering from a neurological condition or injury.
Due to my inability to work, we became a one income household and by the end of June we’re unable to afford our rent and we lost our housing. We had to quickly get rid of any belongings we couldn’t fit into my car and the back of my dad’s truck, so not only did we lose our home but also the majority of our possessions. We are currently living in my parents basement but that is not sustainable and we will have to find something else soon.
The bulk of the funds raised here will be put toward our late bills. We owe our former apartment management company $2600. Any other funds received will be put towards finding a place for us to live and replacing any necessities we had to leave behind.
