Help Hannah, Cerebral Palsy Warrior to Wash-D.C.
Donation protected
If you've met Hannah Perry, you already know what a humorous, determined, & sweet soul she is...stealing the heart of most she meets. Hannah has battled Cerebral Palsy since birth, at one point, her parents were told that she would never walk or experience an unassisted lifestyle.
At two years old, Hannah began to have serious seizures. Sometimes her seizure attacks would happen multiple times a day, leaving her tired and unable to go to school at times. The medication required to treat the seizures had to be administered at doses high enough for a grown man simply to control these awful attacks. Missing school due to her extra challenges has always been frustrating for Hannah, who truly enjoys the academic and social aspects of school.
Hannah has worked incredibly hard, proving statistics wrong. She is now a member of the Tillamook Junior High School Track & Field Team, enjoys walks on the Oregon Coast, cares for her dog & cat, creates crafts, & is a caring big sister to her two siblings.
Hannah is currently an 8th Grader this year at TJHS. The entire 8th Grade Class will be traveling to Washington DC and New York as a celebratory learning adventure through WorkStrides Academic Travel & Experiences Program soon. Hannah is deeply excited by the prospect of this trip with her classmates. In order to travel safely, Hannah must have a family medical escort to join her on her travels. This trained person understands her condition and is knowledgeable in administering her emergency medications if need be.
Unfortunately, Hannah's immediate family cannot afford this trip's extra strain on their one income household. To help Hannah continue to feel included with her peers...and create a once-in-a-lifetime experience for her, we are asking for the help of Hannah's extended family, friends, and community to please come together to make our girl's dream come true. This money would directly help pay for Hannah & her Caregiver's airfare, lodging, transportation needs, and educational fare for museums etc., during this potentially incredible experience.
Thank you so much in advance, whether it be for your financial support, for sharing this information with others, or simply for your kind words & thoughts.
Much Gratitude,
