**Help Hannah Fight Guardianship Abuse in Memory of Her Mom, Debbie**
Hello, my name is Maria, and I’m starting this campaign on behalf of my dear friend, Hannah, who recently suffered a heartbreaking loss. On December 12th, Hannah’s beloved mom, Debbie, passed away after enduring two years of unimaginable pain and hardship due to a fraudulent guardianship.
As a fellow victim of guardianship abuse, I’ve seen firsthand how devastating this system can be. My own mother is still trapped in this broken system, so I deeply understand the toll it takes on families. Watching Hannah’s fight for her mom has been both inspiring and heartbreaking, and I want to do everything I can to help her in this critical time.
**Hannah’s Story**
Over the last two years, both of Hannah’s parents were subjected to a fraudulent guardianship that stripped them of their rights, their freedom, and their dignity. Tragically, Hannah’s dad passed away in March 2023 under this system’s weight, and now her mom, Debbie, is also gone.
To make matters worse, this entire situation was initiated by a member of Hannah’s immediate family—someone who should have protected her parents, not betrayed them.
Guardianship abuse is far more common than many realize. It allows court-appointed guardians to take control of a vulnerable individual’s life, finances, and healthcare decisions. Families are often alienated, and loved ones are left powerless to intervene. It’s a system ripe for exploitation, and Hannah is determined to fight for change in her parents’ memory.
**How Your Contribution Will Help**
This GoFundMe will help Hannah in two key ways:
1. **Honor Debbie’s Memory**: Your support will assist with funeral and final expenses for Debbie, giving her the farewell she so deeply deserves.
2. **Fight for Justice**: Hannah is committed to seeking justice for her parents and raising awareness about guardianship abuse. These funds will help her advocate for reform, support other families, and ensure that no one else has to endure what she and her parents went through.
**Why This Fight Matters**
This isn’t just Hannah’s story or mine—this can happen to anyone. Families often have no idea how easily a loved one can be placed into guardianship, losing their autonomy and their connection to their family. By supporting this campaign, you’re helping to bring much-needed attention to this issue and pushing for the change we so desperately need.

**How You Can Help**
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign to help us reach others who care about protecting families and fighting abuse.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support. Together, we can honor Debbie’s legacy and work toward justice for all victims of guardianship abuse.
