Hannah DRG - help free Hannah from a life of pain.

Donation protected
Our Daughter Hannah is 22 years old. Ten years ago she was an extremely active teenager participating in body-boarding, badminton and horse-riding. Then she had her appendix removed and during the procedure, she had a nerve cut. Since then, she has suffered from periodic episodes  of severe pain which have steadily increased over the years. During this time, the NHS never provided a diagnosis, but we finally had it confirmed during a private consultation. The levels of pain Hannah suffers never goes below a 4 out of 10, is regularly an 8, and on occasions it goes off the scale. Hannah takes so much medication - including morphine-based drugs that she usually sleeps an average of 18 hours every day. The cover photo is from the Herne Bay Gazette of the 27th September. The video was taken recently in the early hours when the pain was at the usual 8 out of 10 and she could barely walk with the discomfort. Quite a transformation from the image of Hannah enjoying the Herne Bay sunset, but sadly the video is the norm - not the image. We have raised funds before for Hannah - £2,000.00 which went towards nerve-block treatment. This not only provided some short-term relief, but also helped to confirm the problem as a cut nerve.
Hannah is now scheduled to have a Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) procedure carried out - the only procedure which gives her any hope of leading anything like a normal life. Although her consultant has told Hannah she is a suitable candidate for a DRG, to get the procedure done under the NHS, you first need to battle your way through the NHS Administrators - and then they decide if you are a suitable candidate - not the consultant. Under the NHS it will take a minimum of 18 months to reach the treatment stage and an unknown number of appointments beforehand. She will not be able to travel to all those appointments and the treatment Hannah needs would just keep getting pushed back. Hannah's only hope is to get the DRG procedure carried out privately - but the cost for this is huge, £30,000.00. We have already got £10,000.00 together to go towards the cost. CAN YOU HELP raise the other £20,000.00?
The DRG implant is Hannah's only chance. There are no other options.
