Help Hannah get treatment for Multiple Sclerosis

My name is Maddie and I am wanting to raise money for my friend Hannah to get life-changing stem cell therapy treatment for her MS.

Hannah is 26 and lives in Sydney, Australia. Hannah was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2018 at the age of 21 when she noticed she was having difficulty walking.

Fast forward to today, Hannah's condition has very rapidly progressed. She is unable to walk unassisted and uses a wheelchair to get around. She has lost nearly all function and mobility of both her arms and legs. Hannah requires 24h care from her team of support workers. Hannah requires assistance with almost every task from rolling over in bed at night to scratching her nose. She has been unable to work since 2020 due to her condition.

MS is an autoimmune disease where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the myelin sheath which is the protective covering of the nerve fibres of the central nervous system. When myelin is damaged it interferes with the messages between the brain and other parts of the body. Unfortunately, there is no cure at the moment for MS. Hannah has undergone most of the limited treatments available in Australia for MS. These treatments had no effect on her, some even worsening her condition. She now has no further treatment options left in Australlia.

Hannah has done endless research on MS and how she can improve her condition in any way. She has tried every diet and every supplement out there, but unfortunately to no avail.

This fundraiser is to raise money to allow Hannah to recieve a treatment for her MS that is not available in Australia. This treatment is called stem cell therapy and is offered in Medellin, Colombia. Stem cell therapy has the potential to regulate immune responses, decrease inflammation, repair and regenerate damaged tissue. We hope with this treatment it will repair the damaged tissue in Hannah's body and improve her motor function. This will allow her to have more of a fulfilling quality of life with improved freedom and independance.

Hannah is such an intelligent, beautiful and kind person. She has so much to offer to the world and deserves the opportunity to have this treatment.
