Help Hannah with traveling and medical expenses

Hello everyone,

My name is Hannah Sprout, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart but hopeful spirit. At just 24 years old, I've been navigating a challenging health journey that has significantly impacted my life.

In 2012, I was diagnosed with arterial compression stemming from thoracic outlet syndrome and bilateral cervical ribs. This diagnosis turned my world upside down, but in 2014, I underwent a scalenectomy and cervical rib removal surgery in hopes of finding relief. Unfortunately, this procedure resulted in unexpected nerve damage, adding further complications to my condition.

Fast forward to 2023, and the symptoms I thought were behind me began to resurface. After consulting with seven different specialists, I received the devastating news last week that I am once again experiencing arterial compression, this time on my right side.

To pursue the specialized care I need, I've been traveling almost two hours away to the University of Rochester, where I am under the care of four dedicated specialists. The journey has been arduous, both physically and emotionally, and it's taking a toll on every aspect of my life, including my ability to work. Balancing numerous appointments, extensive travel time, and coping with chronic pain has become increasingly challenging.

In order to receive the comprehensive care required for my condition, I am faced with the daunting prospect of potentially relocating to Rochester. This decision would enable me to access neurologists, vascular surgeons, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and pain management specialists who can offer the best chance of improving my quality of life.

However, this step comes with its own set of financial burdens. Traveling to Rochester multiple times a week for appointments is simply not financially feasible for me at this time. It is with great humility and vulnerability that I reach out to you for assistance.

Your support would alleviate the financial strain of transportation costs, medical bills, and other expenses associated with seeking specialized care. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in my journey toward regaining health and reclaiming a semblance of normalcy.
