Help Hannah through her MND journey…..

I’m raising money for my little sister Hannah by walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. It is 186 miles of cliff-top walking, with a total of 35,000 feet of elevation and descent. We will be doing this in June 2023, over 6 days, averaging a gruelling 28 miles a day.

When I decided with my friend Dan to do the walking challenge I didn’t know what I was going to raise money for, I felt that inspiration would come from somewhere. Sadly, on the 7th of March 2023, that inspiration hit me with a sledgehammer. We received the devastating news that my 31 year old sister, Hannah, has Motor Neurone Disease (MND). A rare condition that affects the brain and nerves, causing weakness that worsens over time. It is life impacting, shortens life expectancy and there is no cure. https://www.mndassociation.org

Hannah is only 31 years old, full of life, fun loving and active. She is an amazing wife to her husband Ollie and mum to their (nearly) 3 year old daughter, Delilah. Hannah and Ollie’s lives revolve around being great parents, socialising and travelling. They have lived all over the world and had plans to permanently relocate to Chamonix before this diagnosis. They have dreams and aspirations they would like to fulfil as a family and this fundraiser will help them to achieve this.

This is the start of a series of fundraising that we will be doing to provide long term help to Hannah, Ollie and Delilah through their MND journey. We want to keep Hannah’s life as normal as possible, and help maintain her independence. This will be an ongoing fundraiser as her needs change.

The sad news of Hannah’s MND has changed our families lives forever but we are asking you all to stay positive, show your love and support and help them live the best life together, now and in the future.
