Help Hannah with Medical Costs
We are fundraising to support Hannah Capps and her family with recent medical bills. In December of 2020, she began having vision problems and immediately sought care with a Neuro-ophthalmologist. In March of this year, Hannah started noticing numbness and tingling in her arms, legs, hands, and feet. When the pain got to the point where she had difficulty walking, Hannah went to the emergency room and underwent multiple tests- MRIs, CT scans, blood work, and a spinal tap. Her local neurologist was unable to give her a diagnosis and sent her home without a treatment plan. Hannah's pain and numbness continues, and she was able to get an appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. After multiple visits to the Mayo Clinic, a neurologist there has been able to detect several things wrong with Hannah's bloodwork and scans, but is hesitant to provide a diagnosis without further testing. Hannah received more blood work, an EEG, EMG, and sweat test at Mayo. Based on those results, she has been referred to a neurologist that specializes in demyelinating diseases. She is getting closer to an answer as to why she's experiencing these symptoms, but the medical journey so far has proven to be incredibly expensive. Medical bills and travel costs to Mayo Clinic are currently putting a strain on her family's finances. Hannah has been unable to work since April, and her husband takes days off in order to drive her to the doctor appointments. With twins at home, Hannah is hoping for a diagnosis soon so she can get back to work and caring for her family. Any help that you can give is greatly appreciated.
