Help Hannah’s Mom: Donate to help cover medical bills

We are raising money to benefit our friend’s mom, Poinsettia Dormido, who suffered a heart attack last week after already dealing with expensive medical bills in recent months. On Sept. 5, Poinsettia was in the car when she started feeling intense pains in her chest and back, and was rushed to the hospital by a friend. While she was lucky to make it there quickly and get treatment at the ICU, her family is already saddled with thousands of dollars of medical bills which keep going up.

She’s been in the ICU for three days and the bill is already at $2,000. She is scheduled for an angiogram on Monday, Sept. 9 and her family was advised to prepare at least $10,000 for the next steps.

Our friend Hannah Dormido has actively supported her parents’ medical care in recent years, including by raising money by creating and selling art. But these bills are overwhelming. If you would like to help Hannah and her mom with the cost of these medical bills, we would greatly appreciate your support.

Poinsettia is a well-loved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She’s also a generous and selfless person, and Hannah says one of her mom’s source of happiness is when she can help people.

She turned their house, Hannah’s childhood home, into a mug museum called House of Mugs which she opens to the public for free. She’s also been committed to doing projects to help their community, with the help of her husband, daughter, family and friends.

One of their biggest projects was a relief drive during the Covid-19 pandemic, which helped provide food packages to communities in Bago City, Philippines. They also started an online shop, where Hannah sells her art, so they can continue to fund smaller community projects.
