Help Harley get his hips replaced

Hi, my name is Harley. I’m a one year old German Shepherd/Rottweiler. I live with my humum and best friend Lola, a two year old black Labrador.

I have been showing signs of difficulty with manoeuvrability and not wanting to go for long walks.

My humum was concerned and took me to see a vet for some X-rays and it was discovered that I had severe Hip Dysplasia. The X-rays made my humum cry!

The vet said I need Total Hip Replacement, or THR.

This means I need to see a specialist orthopaedic vet for some major surgery, I might even have to visit The Supervet, Noel Fitzpatrick.

All of this will cost my humum a lot of money, in excess of £15,000.

I have insurance but unfortunately the ceiling for any claim is only £4,000.

I know it’s a lot to ask what with the cost of living crisis but any amount, no matter how small, would be much appreciated.

I would love to be able to some day go for long country walks with my friend Lola and my humum.
