Help Harlie Get a New Seizure Alert Dog

Hi, my name is Melissa and I started a Go Fund me for a new seizure alert service dog for Harlie. Harlie is 22. Harlie has microcephaly, epilepsy and scoliosis. Harlie’s seizure service alert dog died quickly on April 12, 2024. Leo was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer (hemangiomasarcoma, no signs) and a week later he passed away. Leo helped Harlie daily with her seizures (she seizes anywhere from 2-30 times a day and at night) with her daily living and her walking. Leo knew 120 commands, from getting her what she needed, to helping with seizures or getting another individual to help Harlie with her seizures if she did not come out of it right away. Turning lights off or on, opening doors etc., getting her medication bag or grabbing the phone for me if I was tending to Harlies seizure and could not leave Harlies side to call 911. Leo never left Harlie’s side. Leo was Harlies best friend. Leo gave Harlie independence with helping her.

The money will pay for Harlie a new seizure alert service dog and training for a week with her new seizure alert service dog.

Leo was trained by Retrieving Independence in Tennessee. And would like to go back through them for the new seizure alert service dog. A full trained seizure alert/service dog is $15,000. And will have to put $5,000 down for the deposit. And $10,000 before getting the new seizure alert service dog.

Harlie has been asking where Leo is. She does not understand death. And looks for him daily, for his help. We appreciate any and all of your help! No amount is too small! Thank you.
