Help Harlingen TX Shooting Victim
A good man, a husband, a father, and a veteran was shot in the face as he tried to help a woman who feared for her life. Now he is undergoing many surgeries and will require extensive treatment and therapies to recover and move forward and provide for his family. We are asking for the community’s help to support him with any monetary donations.
On the morning of July 2nd Juan Padron made a stop at the Stripes on the corner of the expressway and West Tyler St in Harlingen TX. He was on route to the upper valley to complete a job, but would never get there. Before he could leave Stripes, a woman rushed to his vehicle banging on the truck’s window screaming for help. A man was chasing after her with harmful intent.
Juan tried to deescalate the situation between the man and woman. Without hesitation, the man killed the woman, and then critically wounded Juan with a gunshot to the face which resulted in the loss of his life for 6 seconds. Fortunately, he was able to be brought back to life.
Juan is now undergoing many surgeries and will need extensive and costly treatments. He is the main provider for his wife and children. At this time his family is in need of financial support. Please do what you can to assist this family who is in need. Any amount is deeply appreciated.
This heartbreaking event could have been brought to anyone of us going about our daily routine.
Maria Lopez is Juan Padron's wife and is deeply moved by everyone's support.
Thank you
