Help Harloww Get Gender-Affirmation Surgery

Hey everyone!
I’m Harloww (She/They), and thank you for taking interest in my fundraiser for my Gender-Affirmation Surgery:)
I came out as transgender 5 years ago, at the lowest point in my life in feeling like I had no identity or purpose. I figured out that I had years and years of repressed feelings, and all my life I never felt comfort in my body. Gender dysphoria and body dysmorphia has followed me my whole life. Growing up in West LA as a child with a queer/transphobic father, he preached a religion and lifestyle that only fit an outdated model of idylls that didn’t apply to the life I wanted. I felt trapped in my life, in my house, in my body.
Since I came out and began presenting femme all the time, I met my forever partner and got married, I started taking gender affirming hormones, I moved out of my parents house and fled to Oregon with my Spouse, we have a dog and a cat, and we work really hard to live a life worth living. I even started therapy two months ago, and I believe I’m on a path to a better me:) Getting a vaginoplasty is my goal, because parts of my body never felt right. They get in the way, making it difficult and uncomfortable to wear the clothes I want to wear and leaving me wanting to experience sex in a way that feels right with my partner.
This procedure means a lot to me! Although gender affirming hormones saved my life, I feel restricted on a daily basis in finding comfort. I‘ve thought about it too often, for the past 3 years, and I realized I needed to make this happen now with no regrets.
I don’t have a viable insurance plan that can help me achieve my goal in Oregon. I even was declined coverage this last open enrollment period, and I need all the help I can get. This fundraiser may change in the future to allow myself to ask for more support along this journey, but for now, I’m asking for help in specifically coverning the expenses of the pre-operative genital Electrolysis required to make the procedure effective.
Additionally, this fundraiser will cover my consultation with the surgeon I plan to work with ($250-300). I am hoping to have insurance by the time I can get approved for surgery.
Please help me find a forever home in my body,
with many thanks,
Harloww(She/They)
