Everything Was Gone Overnight—Help Me Restart My Life

My name is Harmon Arthur Clarke Jr., and I’m reaching out because I’m facing one of the hardest moments of my life.

After years of fighting through serious health challenges and personal struggles, I finally found the strength to start over. Last summer, I was accepted into a master’s program at Cedars-Sinai Hospital—a dream that felt like a second chance at life. I poured everything I had into this fresh start, holding onto the hope that brighter days were ahead.

On January 6th, I moved into my new home in the Palisades, filled with excitement and gratitude for this new chapter. But by the next morning, that hope was turned to ashes. I woke up to fierce winds, and by nightfall, a devastating fire had taken everything I owned.

Everything.

All of my clothes and daily necessities—gone.

All of my musical instruments and film equipment tools that weren’t just hobbies but lifelines for my healing, creativity, and self expression completely destroyed.

After everything I’ve fought through to rebuild my life, it feels like the ground has been ripped out from under me.

But I’m still standing.

I’m reaching out now because I need help to put the pieces back together. I need to replace the basics clothing, essentials, and the comfort of having a space that feels like home. More than that, I need to reclaim the creative tools that have been so important in helping me heal and move forward.
