Help Harp & Fiddle Serve the Community!

Hi, Harp N Fiddle Friends & Family! As you all are aware, Flanagan's Harp N Fiddle has been a Bethesda staple for over 30 years.  With the outbreak of COVID-19, it has been extremely difficult for Harp to keep their doors open.  Despite these horrible circumstances, Harp continues to provide meal donations to the community in an effort to support our responders dealing with this horrible crisis.  Throughout the years, Harp has supported the community through countless charity events and fundraisers, such as collecting Christmas presents for those in need during the holidays, organizing fundraisers for our Wounded Warriors, providing meals for the homeless, as well as other various charitable efforts.  I think we all can agree that Flanagan's has always tried their best to give back to the community -- this  has been fundamental to the fabric of Harp N Fiddle.  Now, we are at great risk of losing what I consider to be a Bethesda institution as there is a high likelihood (like many other establishments) that they will need to shut their doors permanently. This is especially devastating as Harp, for many of us, has been a place where we've always felt welcome.  No matter where you are in life, no matter what background; you know there's a family there waiting for you. While speaking with Steve and Jenny, it became abundantly clear that their mission still rings true -- GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY.  We are starting this fundraiser to give others an opportunity to give back to an institution that has given so much over the years.  Specifically, your donation will go directly to Harp N Fiddle to help them continue to pay their employees, to keep their doors open, to help community members in need, and to help them continue to provide much needed meals for our essential employees fighting this pandemic.  Additionally, Flanagan’s hopes to help employ other service industry folks who have lost their jobs by offering them an opportunity to cook and deliver meals.  May we all continue to lean on each other during this difficult time.  We will get through this together.
