Help Harpo Fight Cancer
Donation protected
As many of you already know, Harpo beat intestinal cancer four years ago. He's been doing well ever since, but a few weeks ago, he started losing weight and vomiting. Fortunately, his oncologist saw no sign of that cancer returning. She said it was probably just pancreatitis, due to his having been on a steriod for so long. That can be treated with diet and supportive care during flareups. And he has already regained the weight, and is no longer in any distress.
However, he does now have a couple of mast cell tumors on his legs. Those are usually benign, and his recent tests showed no indication that they were metastisizing. But she recommended they be removed, lest they eventually turn malignant.
The estimate was between $3500-$4200. If there is any left over, I'll see if I can see about getting my polydactyl Gummitch's teeth cleaned. He is my youngest, so has not seen a vet since a year before we were evicted in 2018. Poor little dude is way overdue.
I cannot thank you enough for all your help. After more than 25 years of intense suicidal depression, being able to bring joy to hundreds of thousands of people has made me actually want to stick around for more than just my cats. All the love to all of you.
