Help Harrison get over to the USA to train with the masters

Hi, my name is Harrison. I am a born and bred local of the small desert town of Alice Springs.

I am looking to raise funds to help me get to Pennsylvania for the 56th International Shotokan Karate Master's Camp. I hope to raise enough funds to cover my air fares.

At the ripe age of 8, I started going to Karate classes. At the time, I wanted to be a Ninja Turtle. Needless to say, I fell in love with the art of karate and haven't looked back since.

Ten years on, and multiple national medals won, I plan to take the reins of the dojo as my sensei - who's guided me throughout the years - transitions into retirement. With this massive change in mind, I realised the need to further embed myself into the world of karate to be the best teacher and leader I can be.

While this will be aided through being shared the invaluable knowledge my sensei is passing on, I know that further broadening my experiences will take the lessons I create for my students to a whole other enriching level. I also see it as a big personal growth to becoming a better person.

The 56th ISKF Masters came, presented itself swiftly to me and I saw my perfect opportunity to gain the exact type of knowledge, training and experience I had been imagining.

The ISKF Masters camp is an annual eight-day training camp held in Philadelphia, U.S.A. These 8 days usually consist of at least 4 hours of training, as well as classroom lectures about Karate. These training seminars and lectures will be run by four very highly prestigious senseis and masters of Karate.

The only time I have ever travelled outside of Australia was in 2019 when I went to a karate seminar and competition in New Zealand. I think it would be quite amazing to say that the only reason I've ever left the country is to pursue my passion for Karate.
