Help Harry get his tools of trade and Canopy back!
Donation protected
My name is Tabatha and I am fundraising to help Harry get his tools of trade and Canopy to cart them back.
Sadly On the 18th of September while travelling home on the Bruce Highway near the Deception Bay over pass, Harry and his pregnant Girlfriend Emily (My daughter) were hit from behind by a car travelling at high speed, the occupants of the car fled the scene and were caught later only to find they had existing warrents.
We are unsure if the car was stolen or even if it was registered as it had no plates and we are waiting the police report, plus dealing with prior convicted offenders this is going to be a long process. Harry was only travelling at 80kms/hour and it is alleged that the other car was travelling between 130-150kms/hour when they hit his Ford Ranger. This caused Harry to hit the concrete guard rail and flip onto the roof then slide. The car hit them so hard the impact ripped his canopy off and found approx 30m back from the car and over the concrete barrier with trade tools damaged and spread everywhere. Thankfully Harry, his Girlfriend Emily and their unborn baby survived the accident and live to tell their tail!
Everyone on the night were great they helped Harry and Emily prior the emergency crew plus they helped me collect his items spread everywhere as best we could by mobile phone light but unfortunately the majority is not usable, we thought we saved his tile cutter but the impact has bent it, making it unusable. Harry is a 3rd year tiling apprentice who works extremely hard and did not deserve this to happen, especially since it was cause by irresponsible people who don't really care about the damaged or impact they caused on a young family to be or even to potential of killing someone's child, brother, sister, son or daughter.
Thankfully he had full comprehensive insurance but this doesn't cover his tools of trade. Harry is a 3rd year apprentice tiler who has spent the last 3 years modifying his Ranger to suit his work and building his collection of tools. The court process is going to be a long road and we are not even sure at this stage where he stands, whether the car was stolen or even registered, as we are still awaiting the police report.
Pine Rivers Press will be doing a story on this tragic accident caused by irresponsible adults!
Please If you can spare even just $1, every cent counts to getting Harry his trade tools back. Harry is a very hard working young man and deserves a break.
Those who know Harry, know that Harry's car was his pride and joy, something he loved.
Now he is having to start fresh purchase all his tools again that he has built over the last 3 years. Along with finding another car suitable for him to set up again.
Please help Harry get back on track, with his work tool requirements.
Any help is greatly appreciated and everything will be put towards helping Harry get his tools of the trade back so he is not stressing, especially while expecting a a new baby for the first time.
