Help Haya's family leave Gaza

Hi, I'm Camille Testa from Saint Paul and I'm raising funds for my friend Haya's family in Gaza. Please read her story below:

Hello, I am Haya Issa Al-Rantisi, 21 years old, from Gaza. I study at the Islamic University, where my goal was to graduate from the College of Nursing. However, all of our goals and dreams were shattered after October 7, 2023. Due to the circumstances in Gaza during this ongoing war of extermination, my family and I were forced to leave our home and move to places they claim to be safe. We moved from Khan Younis to Rafah and then to Deir al-Balah, but we have not escaped this terrifying nightmare.

I left Gaza with my mother and sister, accompanying a patient who was continuing treatment in Egypt. Now, here we are, stranded in Egypt, facing the hardships of daily life, securing rent costs, and meeting our basic needs on our own.

Meanwhile, the rest of my family remains under siege in Gaza, specifically in Deir al-Balah, enduring the hardest and darkest days of their lives. My family, my only refuge, is trapped in Gaza. There are nine of them: my father, my brother Mohammad with his wife and child, my brother Ahmed, and my sister with her husband and two children. They all dream of a better, safer life. With each passing day, despair and the need to escape this difficult situation only grow.

Our dreams have always been simple: a dignified life, good education, and safety. But the harsh conditions in Gaza deny us these basic rights. I am launching this campaign with all my heart and mind, hoping to raise the necessary funds to ensure my family’s safe journey to a secure place where they can begin anew. The costs of travel are very high, beyond our ability to bear, so I turn to the kindness of your hearts to help us achieve this dream.
