Help HCC Students Thrive!

Help us raise funds for Howard Community College students! We're running (and will win) the HCC 5K Challenge race on October 6th, 2024. Raising $5K gets us 12 runners and a $3,500 named scholarship. All funds go directly to supporting students.

HCC is dedicated to supporting its diverse and predominantly low-income student body through various impactful programs:

Parent Scholars: This program supports single parents and pregnant students with scholarships, career and personal counseling, social events, and personalized progress meetings to ensure they stay on track with their educational goals.

Fueling Dragons: Our frontline defense against food insecurity provides a food pantry stocked with fresh produce, meat, and other essentials at no cost. We also offer nutrition education and partnerships with organizations like SNAP. The program includes a community garden maintained by students, faculty, staff, and volunteers.

Emergency Helping Hands: This fund offers financial support for students facing hardships like overdue bills, transportation issues, and health expenses, ensuring they can continue their education without major disruptions.
