Jennifer's Journey

Our dear friend Jennifer needs our help...
I have never met anyone as strong, positive, hopeful, and fearless as Jennifer Garber.  This Godly woman has been through so much, yet she stays positive and trusts in our Lord.  She's a beautiful soul and spreads joy to everyone around her.  I asked her to share her story...

Man what a journey this has been….So when Madison (my middle child) was 3 weeks old I was diagnosed with lymphoma. I did chemo and radiation. I did go into remission. But due to the fact that the radiation was concentrated on my chest cavity years later, we would realize that the radiation and chemo had severely damaged my heart. I never thought that I would be 33-34 having triple bypass and then again two years later have to get my tricuspid valve replaced and a pacemaker put in. But looking back even if we would have known we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Then a couple of years later I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in November 2019. We started on a chemo regimen knowing that it was going to be a journey and that there would be changes along the way. In June 2020 we found out that the chemo was not shrinking the cancer. So we changed the chemo regimen. Then in December 2020, I started having issues with my heart again. After months of tests and multiple heart paths, we found out that the tricuspid valve that they had replaced two years ago was no longer working. So we began the process of getting it replaced again. This time since my chest has already been cracked twice they decided that they were going to replace it through my groin. Due to the fact that this is a new procedure, insurance does not cover very much of it. After we get the valve replaced and I have recovered we will begin to fight hard to eradicate cancer from my body. Whether it is through medicine or a miracle from God or a combination of both; we are ready to wage war on this cancer.

Jennifer has been selling jewelry, shirts, and anything else she can think of but it's just not enough being as the procedure is over $25,000.  She needs your support.  We only have one month to reach the goal.  Please share this if possible; help get the word out there.

As a special thank you for donating to Jennifer's Journey, each donor's name will go into a drawing to win a $500 shopping spree at Kindred Spirit Style, located in Oakland, Tn, courtesy of Patti Yancey.
