Help Hearthspace Moab Reopen Moab Kitchen Plaza

Moab Utah experienced a torrential rain storm lasting several hours on the evening of August 20th, sending flash floods ripping through the town. The typically calm Milk Creek that meanders through town turned into a raging river, which swelled over its banks and inundated downtown Moab with several feet of flood water. As the water receded, parts of town were left buried under feet of mud, boulders, trees and other debris. The Hearthspace Plaza and Moab Kitchen food truck located at 180 W. Center Street were hit especially hard.

The plaza is our sacred space to connect with the community. To nourish people with healthy, high vibrational food. The space we come together in to connect, to share, to dance and sing, and to feel a sense of community and sense of home. This entire space has unfortunately been gravely damaged by the floods and it truly breaks our hearts. Its going to take a lot to get our beloved community plaza back to where it was just days ago, but we are staying positive. We want to continue to share this magical space we have created and hopefully make it even better than before. We would greatly appreciate any amount of donation you can give. Our hearts are a bit broken right now but we are coming together as a community to heal and mend so we can continue serving the beautiful town of Moab in the best way we know how.

Moab Kitchen is the original 100% plant-based food establishment in Moab, Utah, serving high quality and healthy food to locals and visitors since 2017. After the COVID-19 pandemic, local non-profit “Hearthspace Moab” took over operations of the food truck in 2020. Hearthspace and Moab Kitchen collaborated with local artists and volunteers to create a warm and inviting outdoor plaza that frequently hosts live music and art shows.

All donations collected through this fundraiser will go towards the major cleanup efforts that are necessary to remove the debris left behind from the storm, restore the "Hearthspace Plaza" to its pre-flood conditions and make the necessary repairs to the food truck so that it can reopen and serve our community. Hearthspace Moab is a nonprofit based in Moab, Utah that encourages conscious connections to Unified Field energy (The One/Higher Self/etc) & build social connection & communication among like-minded souls towards the health & wholeness of all. We do this by providing free “by donation” wellness & educational opportunities. We support health & wellness, community agriculture & sustainability, education & mentoring for people of all ages, communication & connection, and community living skills. We provide spaces for creatives to share their gifts and curate high vibrational community gatherings.
