Help Heather and Daughter Repair Their Lifeline
Donation protected
It feels like so many others have more need, but our need is great at this time. My daughter and I live out in the country and rely on our 2002 truck for getting everywhere. I have many medical needs and my daughter is autistic and recently diagnosed with Endometriosis Stage 2 and requires many trips to doctors, specialists, and therapists herself. My mom, her Nana, has done her best to help, but she is 80 and in year 8 of battling lung cancer and she is not always up to long trips to bigger cities, or constantly helping us get to our appointments, get groceries, etc. I would love to lift this burden from her.
For myself, it would alleviate some of the worry of having no way to get to my mom when she needs me. She has been in the hospital several times and I am the only one who is able to do everything she needs done while in hospital and once home and recovering. I have been this kind of caregiver for her since her original breast cancer back in 2010. Also, there is the chance that I, too, could have an emergency event, or my daughter has a breakthrough event that requires emergent care.
We have already tried to repair what we thought was wrong with the truck once by replacing the temperature gauge, but the truck is still badly overheating immediately upon start up. My uncle thinks we are looking at spending around 750-1,000 for repair at this point. I just do not have that kind of money on hand.
We truly realize this is a hard time for so many people in this country, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help we receive. Anything left from what is given will go toward starting a rainy day fund so perhaps we are not caught off-guard next time our old truck needs some care.
Thank you. Thank you.
