Help Heather Attend Her Archaeology Field School

My name is Heather Fusco, and I will be graduating from Gettysburg College in May 2024. Now that my coursework in anthropology and archeology is almost finished, I need to put everything I have learned to work so I can gain the experience I need to start my career as an archeologist. I have been accepted into the prestigious field school run through UMASS Amherst called Poggio Civitate in Murlo, Italy. Not only will I be gaining experience in the physical aspect of archaeology, like excavating and preserving and identifying artifacts, but I will also be learning more about Etruscan civilizations. As this is the period and location that I am hoping to specialize in, I am trying to gain as much knowledge and experience as I can. While this field school will undoubtedly help me in my future career plans and graduate school, the cost of this program is beyond what I can afford at this first point in my career. If you, or someone you know, are in a situation where you could help me raise enough funds to cover the cost of this invaluable career experience, I would be appreciative.
