Help Heather Rebuild After Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Heather McAlpine, a dedicated volunteer of the Altadena Mountain Rescue Team, has always been the first to lend a hand to others in times of need. Her selflessness and courage were on full display when she was actively assisting with evacuations during the recent Eaton Canyon fire in California.
I've personally been lucky enough to have Heather as my friend since our college days. I have seen her grow and push herself to overcome the challenges of mountaineering, skiing, moving to Los Angeles on her own years ago, and even previously making a full recovery after being crushed by a literal boulder on Mt. Whitney.
Tragically, as Heather was helping others last night, the Eaton fire devastated her own home. Her cottage was destroyed, and like so many others affected by this disaster, she now faces the overwhelming task of rebuilding her life. (Tessa, her beloved cat was safely evacuated). Heather has always been the person who steps up to help her community, and now it’s our turn to support her.
We are raising funds to help ease the challenges Heather is about to face. These funds will ensure that Heather has a stable and safe place to begin the next chapter of her life after this devastating loss.
How You Can Help:
• A donation of any amount will go a long way in helping Heather during this challenging time.
• If you’re unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your network. Every bit helps.
Heather has given so much to our community, and now it’s time for us to give back. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
Those that know Heather recognize that she is a light in this world and it is a privilege to know her. I hope that from Reno to Los Angeles and beyond we can come together and take care of our dear friend.
