Help Heather save her gorgeous locks from chemo

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read about Heather's story. I am Ally, Heather's sister. Heather has been diagnosed with stage 2B Breast Cancer and will have to endure one 18-week cycle of chemotherapy and a 4-week cycle of radiation. This treatment will most definitely cause her to lose her gorgeous locks and that is very upsetting because we all know she has incredible hair. This GoFundMe will go towards a Cold Cap Treatment in the hopes to save Heather's beautiful hair. A Cold Cap is a device that helps reduce the loss of hair caused by chemotherapy and is proven to be up to 80% effective.

Heather has had medical issues in the past that scarred her permanently and we want to be able to prevent more emotional and physical damage through this process, but we cannot do it alone.

Heather will be done with her chemotherapy just in time for her 40th birthday in October. This is a blessing and we are so grateful, but we want Heather to feel beautiful and confident while approaching this big milestone.

Below is a break down of exactly what we are raising money for:

Penguin Cold Caps

$449/ month cap rental (for about 4 months)

$100/ session dry ice

$495/ session person to administer the cold cap.

After everything the rep said it would cost around $6500

The company needs $1000 as soon as possible in order to start treatment on January 30th (her first chemotherapy treatment).

Schedule:

Start treatment on 1/30.

Have 1 session every 3 weeks for a total of 6 sessions. She should end in mid May.
