Help Gaza’s family to evacuate the genocide!

Donation protected

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart, asking for your help during an urgent need on behalf of my dearest friend, Heba A-Sadek. For many years, she has dedicated herself to supporting vulnerable communities through a public mental health non-profit organisation in Gaza. Heba and her husband, Said, have worked tirelessly to build a stable life for their family of five amidst the chaos that surrounds them.

Heba and Said never turned down a request from anyone seeking help; they set the bar so high for everyone surrounding them, knowing that prioritizing the mental health of others would build a concrete base for a healthy and stable ground for the community in Gaza. However, when the discriminatory bombing wiped off their beautiful home in Gaza, they had no other choice but to run away with their three children to the South of Gaza.

The young parents got displaced more than four times so far between Dair Al Balah, Khanyounis and Rafah. Their three children Talia, Mustafa and Hala, witnessed despicable horrors that no child should see. The most heartbreaking part is that their mom, Heba, who dedicated her life to serving people in the mental health field, could do so little to ease their suffering.
Now that they have no options left, they remain stranded with hundreds of other families sheltering in the south and the financial burden of moving their family across the border became overwhelming and nearly impossible. Said and Heba face not only the costs of coordination and travel but also the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch in a new country, including ensuring a quality education for the children.

Their warm and loving home, that once was filled with laughter and love, now shattered into dust and ashes and their hearts hold the heavy grieve and pain, trying on daily basis to shelter their three beautiful children from seeing their fear or worse.

In the midst of this devastation, the Al Aklouk family stand, holds one another and holds on to the hope that they will make it before too late—their future holds so many dreams that can end at any moment if a ceasefire doesn’t come soon enough and the borders remain shut. Please help us evacuate them to safety and secure them with this amount of money that can assist them temporarily.

This is incredibly painful for me to write, knowing that I never expected the consequence of the ongoing wars to not only disrupt the education of the children Talia, Mustafa and Hala but also destroy their home and now threaten their lives at an unprecedented level. Schools have become inaccessible and the structure of learning and development has been shattered, leaving their futures uncertain.

The urgency of this situation cannot be overstated. With tensions escalating and the threat of further escalations in Rafah looming, we are desperate to relocate Heba and her family to safety before it’s too late. This appeal for help is not made lightly; it is a plea for compassion and assistance in our time of dire need.

Your support would enable us to cover the essential costs of the journey and resettlement. It’s not just a donation; it’s a lifeline, offering them a chance at a new life away from the fear and uncertainty that has clouded our existence for too long. It’s an investment in the future of our children, providing them with the educational opportunities they desperately need and deserve.
