Help Hedi the Chow Beat Infection

Donation protected
Hedi has experienced a still unknown infection over the New Year holiday. After seeing two separate vets, still having no real explanation as to what is happening with him.

As things stand, Hedi is on 4 different medications has had an x-ray blood work, and 4 injections with no real answers to what is affecting him. The only thing so far that has helped him a little is a steroid shot that has made his inflammation go down.

Everyday Hedi is pussing and bleeding from the skin, his coat has been trimmed down in an effort to help him stay dry and help prevent the infection from getting worse.

So far his cost for his two first vet visits is just over $2,300

The next step for Hedi is to get an autopsy and an allergy check, in hoping they can provide some real answer as to what is happening with him. The cost of the procedure could be up to $2,500 as projected from the vet now, still not hoping that this is the case.

Funds are needed Asap to help Hedi's Mom cover the cost of transportation to the vet, and the increasing cost of medical bills as we learn how we can get Hedi as good as new.

As being a friend to Hedi, he has brought me so much joy with all the time I have spent with and he has such a nag to know how you are feeling so he can cheer you up. Hedi would come stare at you with a tilted head, lick you up, and then bury his head in your lap  until your hardship goes away. I know that Hedi just hasn't helped me (and of course his mom), but so many others, now I want to make sure he gets the help he needs.

Let's get Hedi back to being Happy and Healthy.

Over the next two days he barley ate and drank water and started to notice a rash and him starting to scratch incessantly, but he was doing his best to hide it because he didn’t want anyone to worry about it. On the 4th day, Hedi’s rash was turning into ulcers and blisters and spent the time looking for a late night vet to see him. Having thought getting some results to to treat him that night. He seemed in better. After getting a bath and administering the his medication, his skin began to puss and bleed. Overly concerned, we did our best to keep his skin and fur clean and dry with nothing seeming to work.

Finally getting him some Benadryl seemed to work for a day, but come New Years day, Hedi was worse for wear and finally started showing fatigue with heavy breathing and a slight fever. Taking Hedi to a new vet to help determine what was going on with him, we still have no clear answer.

Here is the estimate from the 2nd vet visit.
