Help Heidi and Steve save their home and animals

In January of this year, during a bad snowstorm, the driver of the truck in this photo slipped off the road and slammed into the house of our neighbors, Heidi and Steve Hines. The driver suffered minor injuries and is doing fine. As you can see, their house suffered significant damage as well.

Unfortunately, the impact of the crash moved part of their house off the foundation, and now they are in the hands of the insurance companies. The two boys that they care for through a local vendor needed to be relocated, most of their household furniture and belongings have been moved to storage pods outside of their house and they are in jeopardy of losing their beloved animals (most of who are rescues) and their home.

This home was passed down from Heidi’s mother to her and they have spent countless hours and dollars renovating many portions of their home.

Since the accident, Heidi and Steve have been paying for the interior demolition of portions of the house that require restoration and have lost income due to the many delays in insurance inspections, legal reports, and loss of income claims.

This accident was no fault of Heidi and Steve, but they find themselves in a situation that is costing them emotionally, financially, and physically. We set up this GoFundMe page to help them keep their family home and their beloved animals.

There is a need to pay bills and possibly find temporary space for their horse, two donkeys and some dogs and cats if they need to move during the rebuilding of portions of their home.
