Hi my name is Heidi and it was almost 3 years ago that I was told the devastating news that I had a Grade 4 Brain Cancer also known as a Glioblastoma. I was told I only had 3 to 6 months to live. Well 26 months of Chemotherapy and 12 weeks of Radiation and here I still am!

Why I started this fundraiser- to help my family out not only emotionally, but financially. You see now I'm finally over my 2 year mark which is amazing for a GBM cancer patient. My oncologist referred me to a more experienced cancer doctor at UCSF. San Francisco is 4 hours away from where I live. This puts a financial stress on our family too.

I am asking for your help. I know 5K is a massive target to reach but anything will help and I hope to be here for many more years. My husband and kids need me, I've been through so much in life and it hurts me to see that my husband can't work anymore. My kids have to see me helpless and in pain so much of the time. All donations will go towards medical care and transportation costs. Any type of support would help very much.
