Hi, I am Helen Ogbu, running to represent Galway West in Dáil Éireann for the Labour Party, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support in my General Election campaign. Together, we can bring progressive change to our communities and champion the values that matter most.

Why I’m Running!

I will be campaigning strongly for support throughout the Constituency, with the intention of being a strong voice for the community, because politics for me isn't just about policies, it's about you, your family, and our community. I believe in an alternative way to govern that prioritises people’s collective wellbeing. I'm driven by a deep passion to make a difference, and to ensure the concerns of the community are heard and addressed. As a widow, single parent, foster carer, and community activist, I understand firsthand the challenges faced by families and people in the community, and I am committed to advocating for their rights and needs.

I’m committed to being a strong voice in Dáil Éireann for affordable housing, workers' rights, mental health, inclusion, universal childcare, climate action, and accessible public transport. My goal is to advocate fiercely for these priorities with both my head and heart, making a difference for Galway and Ireland.

Donation Guidelines

Under Irish law, we can accept donations only from people living in Ireland or Irish citizens living abroad. Donations of €100 or more require an address for verification purposes, and we may contact you for additional details if needed.
