Help Helen & Vin rebuild home destroyed by fire

Around 2:30am on March 8, 2021, Helen was woken up by the alarm of a smoke detector in the 2nd floor bedroom of her house . She immediately saw the fire's light coming from the outside of the house.  Thick smoke had already built up inside and she was choking on the fumes. She quickly made her way downstairs and was faced with even more flames and smoke. All of her searches for an exit were fruitless. Both the back door and front door were blockaded by a wall of fire as were almost all of the windows on the first floor. Her only option was the window of Vin's bedroom, which the fire had just started to reach. Helen opened the window, knocked out the screen and crawled her way to safety just as the fire claimed that last part of the house. She escaped with her life and nothing but the clothes on her back.

Now, she was outside in 20-degree weather with nothing on her feet and dressed in pajamas. Her neighbors assisted by giving her a coat to stay warm and she received a pair of shoes from the police department and firefighters who eventually arrived on scene to battle the blaze at about 3am. Fortunately, Vincent was not at home when the fire occurred. Unfortunately, nothing could be saved of the home or any of the items inside. Everything was consumed by fire. It was a total loss.

The family has been displaced and will be without a home for many months. In addition, Helen suffered the effects of smoke inhalation and is on medication to treat her symptoms. She is also faced with medical bills that her insurance will only be able to cover a fraction.
