Hello, Kind People. My name is Helen. I was laid-off from my dream job on February 1st. I had plans to stay with that company until I retired. I had been there for four years and was a valued asset to my department. 24 people lost their jobs that day. It was a real gut-punch.

Thankfully, I am receiving unemployment; however, it is not enough to cover my bills AND rent in Austin, TX. I currently live alone, and I do not have a car, so other earning opportunities, such as driving for rideshare companies are not available.

I am applying to jobs like crazy. I just reworked my resume with some help from a dear friend. I am hoping for an interview soon...

I just need a little help, please, so that I can keep my electricity, internet, and phone service connected. I don't need much, I just need to catch up.
