Help Helena Recover from the Eaton Fire

Helena Davies (also known as Sam), was born and raised in Altadena and has been a lifelong resident. Due to the Eaton Fire, Helena has lost everything. Her beloved home—passed down through generations—was completely destroyed, along with over $200,000 worth of art she and her parents spent decades collecting.

She also lost all of her family heirlooms, and irreplaceable mementos from her late husband. Two of her three cherished cats did not survive. Her car was also destroyed, leaving her without transportation.

Helena is facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding her life at a time when many would lean on the support of family. As a single woman in her seventies, she is turning to her community—the same community she has loved and supported throughout her life—for help.

This GoFundMe is an effort to give Helena a chance to rebuild, to help her find a safe place to live, replace essential items, and begin piecing her life back together. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping Helena navigate this heartbreaking chapter.
