Help Helena’s Family After the Palisades Fire

Hi my name is Helena. I am a student at Pali High and I live on Palisades Drive where the fires started with my Mom, Dad, and two siblings. I had to evacuate when I was home alone and was forced to leave all of our belongings behind. All I could take with me is my purse, my dog, and the clothes on my back. Our family is currently facing an uncertain and terrifying situation following the recent fire in the Palisades. While we don’t yet know the full extent of the damage, we fear that our home may be lost. In the meantime, we’ve been forced to evacuate and are unsure when or if we’ll be able to return.

The fire has already taken a significant toll on our community, and we are doing everything we can to navigate this difficult time. We are reaching out for support as we try to rebuild, whether that means securing temporary housing, replacing essentials, or covering the immediate costs that come with an unexpected disaster.

While we hope for the best, we must prepare for the worst, and your help can make all the difference. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us recover and give us the stability we need to move forward. Update (1/10/24): As of now our house is still standing. We are so thankful and hoping it will make it through this disaster. We will have to relocate for a few months and we are a family of 5. Our house isn’t in a safe condition to live in. The mountain behind our house and the other one infront of it is completely burned. Ashes are everywhere. We will need to replace most furniture if not all, rip out the carpet, get new beds, etc. Thank you for all the help, we will give back to our community as we all face this tragedy.
