Help Hilary & Guy Smith After Palisades Fire
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind supporters,
On Tuesday, January 7th, the lives of Hilary and Guy Smith were forever changed by the devastating Palisades fire. In a matter of hours, everything they had worked so hard to build was lost. Hilary and Guy lost their home in the fire, as did Hilary's parents. The fire has spared none of them, leaving their entire family without a place to call home or the cherished memories they had collected over the years.
This tragedy comes at the end of an incredibly difficult few years for Hilary personally. During the pandemic, she suffered from Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, a life-threatening condition that took a tremendous toll on her health. Not long after, she was diagnosed with cancer, a battle that tested her in unimaginable ways. And now just as they were trying to move forward, they lost their home and most of their material possessions.
Despite these challenges, Hilary and Guy have maintained a positive attitude and outlook, and they are determined to move forward with resilience and confidence in brighter days ahead, but they need your help. While we are incredibly grateful that they all made it out safely, the road ahead is daunting. Although Hilary and Guy are determined to rise from the ashes, they cannot do it alone. That is why they need your help.
The funds raised will go directly towards helping Hilary and Guy get back on their feet, and the funds will assist them with needs that may not be fully covered by other sources of aid. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a tremendous difference and bring them closer to recovery. If you prefer to donate items instead, please message me directly and I’ll coordinate with you. If you are unable to donate, it would be great if you could share their story with others and keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you,
Kathryn, Laurie, Sarah, Amy & Jess
