Help Hind and her family survive after fleeing Gaza

Hi, my name is Katy and I am setting up a fundraiser on behalf on Hind Al Khalidi.

I first met Hind when I started teaching English through an online volunteer programme. We chatted every week for over a year and got to know each other. She was looking to improve her level of English to help her with her studies and career. This has all been taken away from her.

Since October last year she has been living in the most frightening and desperate of circumstances in Gaza.

Hind was pregnant with her first child at the time and had her beautiful baby boy in April 2024 in horrific conditions. She has since managed to flee to Egypt with her husband and newborn son, leaving behind their home, their family and loved ones.

They now are safe from the relentless bombing, death and destruction but have absolutely nothing and need some help to try to start a new life in Egypt.

In Hind's words:

"We are normal people. We love to live. We used to have dreams and we used to have a good family time with our siblings. We had a dream to make our own family bigger and this dream came true during this killing war. Please help us to survive, save our baby's future and give him a much better life than we've had."
