Help Hëmd Recover After Burglary
Donation protected
Hëmd is a clothing, footwear, and art boutique that opened in the summer of 2018. The owner, Daniel Braden, started Hëmd when he was 25 years old and has put his entire livelihood into his store. Daniel opened the store for the community and has built real connections with all his customers that walk through the door. Hëmd is his pride and joy and he has worked countless days and nights to bring the city of Grand Rapids the most unique one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
Early Monday morning, October 4, 2021, Hëmd was burglarized. A group of people broke through the front door using a large brick, then broke the rest of the glass with their bodies. Over $40,000 worth of merchandise was stolen and close to $10,000 of damage was done to the store during the robbery.
This is the last thing that someone who works as hard as Daniel deserves. If you have ever shopped at Hëmd and met Daniel, you know how much love and appreciation he shows to each and every customer that walks through his door. He’s the most generous and selfless person I know.
We ask that you please make a donation, no matter how big or small, to help get Hëmd up and running again. To help replace the stolen merchandise and repair the damage that has been done. We cannot thank you all enough for your love and support <3
